Class of 2018 Trip to Cancun, Mexico

This spring, 15 seniors and 5 chaperones had the experience of a lifetime. They spent 10 days in Cancun, Mexico, learning the culture, enjoying the weather and ministering to the beautiful people there. They put on skits at a local public school, teaching children about the Lord. They ministered to 80 children at a local community center — playing games, performing skits and singing worship songs. On both Sundays they were in-country, Pastor Vasily Lantukh preached at two different churches – reaching well over 400 people.  Dr. Johnson plans to assist with the school with training teachers, curriculum for students and partnering with the ministry.

Trips like these are important to not only spread the gospel to people outside of our immediate community, but to let students experience what it’s like to live their faith in an unfamiliar place. At FCS, we believe that a seminal activity in a Christian’s life is to spread the Word of God and this trip a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to live that out.
