Yuriy Markov

Family Living/Financial Peace

Mr. Markov has a MA in Theology.  He is a pastor and he will be teaching two high school Bible classes.

Olga Busmatrava

Pre-School

Ms. Busmatrava has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grodno State University (Belarus).  She has 17 years of experience teaching at the primary school level.

 Ms. Busmatrava is starting her second year teaching in the 2 year old class at FCS.

Hannah Foster

MS Bible/Lower School Computer

Miss Foster has a degree in ministry and has worked in a classroom six years as a lead teacher.  She has been involved in missions and has a true passion for evangelism and building a strong foundation in the Lord.

Vasily Lantukh

Board Chairman

As CEO/Board Chairman of Friendship Christian School, Rev. Vasily Lantukh is a talented motivator and organizer. He holds a masters degree in agriscience and has a track record of successful leadership as a minister, an entrepreneur, international businessman and family man.

His strong personal commitment to education has most recently displayed itself in his own six children. Three earned undergraduate degrees from Georgia Tech, the other three (two in progress) from Georgia State University. Three of his children have completed their masters level education and are greatly excelling in their fields of work and study. His youngest son graduated as the valedictorian of FCS in 2011.

Mr. Lantukh recently celebrated his 25th year as Pastor of New Life Christian Church. When he’s not at school or church, he enjoys gardening with his wife, Marya, and tackling a growing list of home improvement challenges.

He fully supports the Head of School to run the daily operations at FCS.

Rick Johnson

Head of School/Bible/Resource Director

Dr. Johnson holds a EduD in Christian Education from JTS and a PhD. in Psychology from Southern Seminary. He has a Master’s of Arts in Education in Administrative Instruction from Ottawa University. He holds three Certifications with ACSI: All Levels Superintendent, All Levels Principal and Secondary Bible. He has worked in Christian Education over 20 years.  He has served as Head of School for FCS the past 4 years.

He has served the ministry of Christian education as a Head of School, Dean, Chaplain, Coach, Athletic Director, Counselor, Mission Director, Lower School Teacher and Secondary Teacher. He was also the founder and administrator of Faith Christian Academy.

Dr. Johnson has worked with “Voice of Judah” music ministry for over 25 years and serves on their board. He has also worked for several accreditation teams with ACSI and SCISA. He co-founded Building Blocks Educational Ministries with his wife and ministers to teachers, churches, and organizations. As a missions director, Dr. Johnson has led missions teams to Belize, Colombia, Mexico and Israel. Dr. Johnson has been a strong supporter of an orphanage in Belize in Central America for several years.

Dr. Johnson and his wife have three children: a son who is 28 and two daughters who are 17 and 15. He also has a grand daughter that was born in March 2015. Their daughters attend FCS.

Dr. Johnson has a great vision spiritually and academically for the ministry long-term.

Elizabeth Johnson

Upper School Principal / I-20 Director/Yearbook

Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson works as upper school supervisor, Admissions Director and I-20 Director. She holds a Master’s of Arts in Education with a major in Administrative Instruction and Curriculum from Ottawa University. She has a BA in Christian Education with a major in Theology from JTS, and a BA in Education with a major in English from SBIS.

Elizabeth Johnson has been in Christian education over 20 years. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant, Facility Director, Development Director, middle and high school English and Bible teacher. She has also served on a curriculum planning and foundational school building team.

She holds her certificate to direct the 1-20 program for international students for FCS. She holds three standard certifications from ACSI: Secondary Principal, Secondary English, and Secondary Bible. She also holds a private pre-school teaching certification.

She is also the co-founder of Building Blocks Educational Ministries and has ministered to teachers, schools and churches.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband have three children: a son who is 27 and two daughters who are 17 and 14. She also has one grandchild that is one years old. Their daughters attend FCS.

Clayton Shaw

Lower School Principal and AD

Mr. Shaw is our lower school principal.

He received his Masters in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia. He also received his degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College & State University. He is also state and ACSI certified.  He is very strong in technology education at all levels.

Coach Shaw is also our FCS Athletic Director. He has coached basketball for several years and has experience as an Athletic Director.

Mr. Clayton Shaw taught 10 years in fourth grade and he is in his sixth year at FCS.

Jay Jusino

8-12 Science/Staff Development/Curriculum

Mr. Jay Jusino is our upper school Science teacher and Lab Director. He has a B.S. in Applied Biology from Ferris University and a B.S. in Biology Education from Ferris University. He is finishing his MA in Science Educational Leadership from Pensacola Christian College.

He has 19 years experience in classroom instruction and has taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Introduction Logic, Health, Environment Science, Origins in Science in Culture, Nutrition, Anatomy, Physiology and Business Math. He also has his ACSI Science Educator Certification.

He has also taught Education from a Biblical Worldview from the Nehemiah Institute to staff and has 2 1/2 years experience in Environment Field Work.

Mr. Jusino has seven children; he and his wife Christy are excited to be a part of the FCS family.

Alla Rudishin

Finance Director

Mrs. Rudishin is the Finance Director for FCS.  She has worked in finance for several years in several areas.

She has two children that attend FCS in grades 8th and 10th.

She is very active in New Life Church.

Olga Markova

Pre-School

Mrs. Markova works as an aide in pre-school and she is our aftercare teacher for grades K-5th from 3:30-6:00.

She has three children at FCS and her husband is a pastor for one of the new life churches.

Serge Kulinich

Facility Director

Mr. Kulinich is the facility leader for the church and school.  This is the non-academic department that covers the cleaning crew, technology, school store and the scholarship department for New Life Church families.

Mr. Kulinich ensures all areas continue to look excellent.  He has great experience in business and technology.

Becky Holmes

Pre-School Director

Becky Holmes is the Pre-School Director for Friendship Christian School. She has a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Spalding University. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Louisville. Becky has been an educator for over 20 years and has worked as both a preschool and elementary classroom teacher. She has a passion for early childhood education and has served as a preschool director for 11 years.

Becky has been a part of the team at Friendship Christian School for 7 years. She is the mom to six children and has one student in 1st grade at FCS.

Daniel Summers

6th-8th History/Science

Mr. Summers is our middle school history and science instructor.  He has 4 years of experience and has a BA degree in History with educational hours in Science from Cedarville University.  He also received a degree from Davis University.  He is also certified through ACSI.

Mr. Summers has experience in technology and has a very active and creative classroom.  He is also very active in his church and is involved in worship.

Stacey Nemitz

Pre-School

Stacey graduated from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education.

Prior to having children, she worked as the Assistant Director at Huntington Learning Center in Frederick, MD. Stacey has also taught Pre-K and Kindergarten in private childcare settings.

She is currently involved in the Children’s Ministry working with preschoolers at Christ Community Church in Cumming

Stacy Browning

Pre-School

Mrs. Browning has worked with children for over 15 years, from being a nanny after graduating from High School to working at a Private Preschool. Throughout her years in Early Childhood Education, she has worked as a Teacher, Assistant Director, and a Director. This is her first year teaching at FCS.

Kristina Riddle

Pre-School

Mrs. Kristina Riddle works in the preschool department as an instructor.

Traci Gruckzowski

Pre-School

Traci Gruczkowski studied Early Childhood Education at North Georgia College. She has been a preschool teacher for 6 years, including teaching the 2 year old class at FCS for the past 4 years.

She is married and the parent to 5 children.

Maureen Brown

Pre-School

Maureen has a Masters of Science in Education degree, from Long Island University in New York. She has worked several years in schools in New York and Illinois, and is excited to join the staff at Friendship Christian School.

Maureen is married with three children and loves volunteering in her children’s schools, Girl Scouts of America, and the community in which she lives. She also enjoys spending her free time playing tennis.

Lauren Hoeweler

Language 2

Mrs. Hoeweler graduated from Columbia International University with her Masters in TEFL/Intercultural Studies. She received her BA from Toccoa Falls in English and a minor in Cross Cultural Studies. She has her ACSI certification in education.

Students must score a 50 to be moved to level 2 and a 70 on the TEFL to move to main stream classes.

She enjoys soccer and tennis and will be assisting in our upper school prayer club next year.

She will be our Language 2 (advanced class) for international students for the 2016’17 school year.

Tola Kalejaiye

First Grade

Mrs. Kalejaiye is our 1st grade class teacher.

She received her BA in Elementary Education from Mercer University. She has her Ga. certification T4.  She also has her ACSI certification.

She has three children that will attend FCS.

She has a passion for academic growth with a strong Christian foundation.  She has been working with children the past 17 years. Her passion is in phonics and reading but she is strong in all academic levels. She is involved in worship as a praise leader in her church.

Valerie Thompson

4th grade

Mrs. Thompson has her BA degree in elementary education from Liberty University. She also has a BA degree in Psychology from Liberty University.

She has taught 2 years as a lead instructor and she will have two children that will attend FCS ages 2 and 4. She is our fourth grade teacher and assist with the yearbook staff.

She is very active in her local church and has a strong passion for Christian education not just as a teacher but parent. She is creative and works well with all learning levels within the classroom.

Alena Bumburyak

1st Grade

Mrs. Bumburyak is our 1st grade teacher.  She graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in early childhood education and special education.  She is state certified in K-5th, Special Education K-12.

Mrs. Buomburyak is fluent in English and Russian and is a strong creative teacher.  She is very active in her chiurch and works is a leader in the children ministries.

Bunny Helms

Lower School Resource

Mrs. Helms received her B.S from Columbia International University. She also attended Cal. State Fullerton.

Mrs. Helms is our lower school resource pull-out teacher.  She will be working with students in small groups and individually throughout the year in academic subjects.

Priya David

Upper School Math/Science

Mrs. David teaches upper school math and one science class. She taught at FCS 2013-14, and she is returning for this new school year.  She received her BA degree from Karunya University in Engineering.

She has worked in several grades with math as a tutor and instructor.  She is ACSI certified and has her certification in math with the GACE exam.

 

 

Pamela Rumer

Pre-School

Pamela Rumer has a Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. Bachelor’s Degree from William Smith College and graduated with her Certification in Elementary and Special Education.

Pam is married and has two daughters. Prior to teaching Pre-K at FCS, she worked for Forsyth County in the Special Education department. She has taught Music for Mommy and Me, Creative Movement, and developed themed summer children’s camps for Duluth Parks and Rec.

Cathy Sullivan

Pre-School

Cathy Sullivan has been married to her husband Brian for 21 years. They have two children, Aidan (15) and Anna (14). She has been a regular volunteer in their elementary and middle schools throughout the years. She has also helped to organize children’s events in her neighborhood.

Cathy is in her second year of teaching religious education at her church. She has been the team manager for her daughter’s club travel soccer team for the past two years. Cathy is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Hollingshead

5th grade

Mrs, Hollingshead has a MA in Elementary Education with a concentration on Reading from State University of New York. Her Bachelor of Science is in Elementary Education. She has taught 20 years and is state and ACSI certified.

She is very active in her church in Sunday School, youth activities and served as the vacation Bible school director. She is our 5th grade teacher at FCS.

Amy Baines

K-4

Amy Baines is the K4 teacher at FCS. She has a passion for teaching and a true love for children. She graduated with a BA in early education from the Baptist College of America.

Debbie Kunin

6th-8th English/Math

Mrs. Kunin attended Old Dominion University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She also received her MA in Elementary Education.

She left her career with IHG to pursue a Masters degree in Elementary Education to fulfill a lifelong dream of teaching children. Mrs. Kunin is committed to helping children achieve life-long learning though creative, engaging, and dynamic learning.

Mrs. Kunin is certified in Georgia to teach Elementary Education (K-5) and is eligible to teach Middle School Grades (6-8). She has over 10 years experience in the classroom.

Mrs. Kunin is our 6th-8th grade english and math teacher at FCS. She is married and has three daughters.

Tayana Lantukh

Special Resource/US Math

Tatyana Lantukh is the resource tutor teacher at FCS. She will be working one on one with students with IEP’s throughout the school day.  She will also be teaching lower and upper level math as well.

She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University.

Ms. Lantukh has a vision for educating with excellence.

Kellie Kindberg

Librarian/Para-Pro

Mrs. Kindberg is a native of Atlanta. She attended Mercer college. She serves as the FCS Librarian and Para-Pro. She has been a Sunday School teacher and a substitute teacher at FCS. Mrs. Kindberg has 4 children, 2 who currently attend FCS. She also has 3 grandchildren.

Kelli Arnold

2nd Grade

Mrs. Arnold has a BA of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan.

Kelli has 14 years experience in the classroom. She is our 2nd grade lead teacher at FCS. She is creative and well experienced in curriculum and instruction.

Jan Brown

3rd Grade

Mrs. Brown is our third grade teacher at FCS. She received her BA from Auburn University in Elementary Education and minored in creative arts.

She has been a homeschool teacher for years and also taught several years in the classroom. She has worked with curriculum, and several academic leadership roles over the years as a teacher.

Alex Klinect

English 9th-12th

Mrs. Klinect is our 9th-12th English teacher and she will assist with our ESL program after school. She has her BA in English Education from Toccoa Falls College with a minor in Biblical Studies, 2014. She has her Georgia State Certification in Secondary English 6th-12th. She also has her Georgia State ESOL Endorsement. She has her ACSI certification in Secondary English with a Bible endorsement.

She has worked in camps in Hong Kong teaching ESL and with adults in ESL classes for two years in her local area. She has also taught ESL classes for refugee and international students. She has experience administering language proficiency tests and has worked with developing students from six years old to adults. She also completed her student teaching in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Mrs. Klinect brings a passion for several areas in English and has a true heart for our global vision at FCS.  She was married in June 2016 to our resource teacher Jeremiah Klinect.

Amanda Chafee

PE/Health

Mrs. Chafee is our Physical Education and health instructor at FCS. She has her BA of Science in Bible at Bible Baptist College with an emphasis in Health and Physical Education. She also has her Georgia Health and Physical Education Certification. She also has her YMCA Lifestyles Principles Training Certification and YMCA School Age Child Care Director Training Certification.

Mrs. Chafee was an Intercollegiate Varsity Soccer Player, Soccer team Captain and received the Scholar Athlete Award.

Jonathan Kilgore

Chaplain/Fine Arts Director

Mr. Kilgore is the FCS Chaplain and Fine Arts Director. He also directs band and also leads upper school chapel. He directs our fine arts after-school program for lessons with instructors.

He is a professional musician and he has been in full time music ministry for 13 years traveling across the nation and globe and has worked in education for 9 years.

He has traveled through missions to several countries including: Mexico, Kenya, Cape Town, & Nairobi. He has a heart for young people and developing musicians to use their gifts for the glory of God.

He has two children who will be attending FCS; grades 9th and 11th. His oldest daughter graduated in 2015 from FCS as valedictorian of her class.

Lillian Carrsco

Spanish: Lower & Upper School

Mrs. Carrasco has a BA in Language (ESOL) and Elementary Education from Florida International University. She has her state certification in Elem. Education, ESOL and Spanish. She is our spanish teacher for lower and upper school students at FCS. She has over 20 years experience in teaching Spanish and Education. She has taught Spanish in private and public schools as lead teacher.

She has been a volunteer in her church the last 4 years working with Elementary and middle school students.

Joshua Osolnik

9-12 History

Mr. Osolnik is the upper school History at FCS. He graduated from Emory Laney Graduate School with a Masters of Arts in Teaching, Secondary History. He also graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Joshua also led and implemented sports programs for Elementary schools based on Overtime Athletics curriculum. He has taught 3 years at FCS.

Jon Johnson

Computer/Guidance and ESOL Director

Mr. Jon Johnson graduated with a BA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is currently working on his MA at Arizona State University.

He also graduated with a AS in criminal Justice from Trident college. He graduated from Daytona State College Police Academy and has a degree from the Honor Academy school of worship and missions. He also worked with Aquire the Fire and was on the worship team ministering in several states while attending the Honor Academy in Texas.

Jon has worked in Christian Education as an IT Director and in Office Administration for 5 years. He currently teaches computer and ESL. He is also the Guidance Director for high school.

Jon is fluent in Mandarin. He traveled to China 2009-2014 in the summer ministering in worship. He also lived in China May 2014 through December 2014. He returned to FCS in January 2015. His wife Alice is from Beijing, China. They have a daughter who is a year old.

Kate Crouse

Photography/Art: Lower & Upper School

Mrs. Kate Crouse teaches art for FCS. She is a professional artist and holds a BA degree in art design.

Mrs. Crouse has a daughter in 3rd grade at FCS and a son in K5. She brings a strong vision and excitement to the lower and upper school art programs. She directs the art project for ACSI and she has introduced several new programs in the classroom. The art students had several first place awards at competition.

Dusty Dobbs

High School Resource

Mr. Dobbs graduated with a MA in education from Southeastern Seminary. He received a BA in Theology at Wayland Baptist University. He has over 20 years of experience in teaching and resource. He is certified as an instructor with the state of Georgia. He has also tutored in Math, Science and Reading.

Mr. Dobbs is our high school resource teacher. He has three children and is very active in his church working with students.

Maria Kulinich

Language 1

Mrs. Kulinich will be teaching the Language 1 self contained class. Once they have mastered at least 50 percent, they are promoted to the language 2 class that will prepare them for main stream classes.

Students must score a 50 to be moved to level 2 and a 70 on the TEFL to move to main stream classes.

She has her BA in Elementary Education. She worked in first grade at FCS 2011-2013, she has worked in ESL and upper school English.

She is strong in classroom management and has experience in several areas in curriculum and instruction.

Svetana Bogdan

Russian Lower and Upper Instructor

Mrs. Bognan has her MA in languages. She is strong in Russian and German. She has classroom experience teaching academics and language.

She is our Russian instructor and has experience at all levels in teaching language. She teaches lower and upper school students. She has great classroom management and has a great desire to instruct the language by strengthening the students in their language class in several new programs. She has taught 2 years at FCS.

Jeremiah Klinect

MS Resource/MS Drama/RS Science-Math

Mr. Klinect teaches MS resource, Science and Math level 3 RS. He is also the MS school drama director.

He attended Toccoa Falls College and received a BA in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement. He is state certified through the 8th grade and has taught in the public school system.

He is involved in several community service projects and he serves in his church in the children’s program. He will coach cross country for MS this year.

Tetyana Horoian

K-5

Mrs. Horoian has her BA in English with a minor in elementary education.  She is strong in phonics and has worked in the public school for 2 years.  She is fluent in 3 languages.

She enjoys crafts, music and reading.  She has a daughter who attends our FCS Pre-School 2 year old program.
