Penny Hager

Academic Skills Program 1

Mrs. Hager attended Clarks Summit University and Plattsburg State University, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Mrs. Hager has worked in education for several years and is the Academic Skills 1 class teacher. She will work one-on-one with six students in core classes in lower school.

Galina Rubets

K4 Para-Pro

Mrs. Rubets is a K-4 Para-Pro.  She has two children that attend FCS in 1st and 8th grades 8th. She is a member of New Life Church.

Larisa Muradyan

1st Grade Para-Pro

Mrs. Muradyan is a 1st grade Para-Pro. Her own three children attend FCS.

Eiden Pino

Lower School Music and Chapel

Mrs. Pino teaches music to our lower school and provides music for the lower school chapel. She has worked in music and worship for several years and serves alongside her husband in ministry. They have a son and a daughter who both attend FCS.

Andy Hoeweler

PE

Mr. Hoeweler  is our lower and upper school PE instructor. He is also the MS head soccer coach and the varsity asst. soccer coach. He received his Bachelor of Arts in business administration and Biblical studies from Toccoa Falls College. Over the years, he has worked in various leadership positions in ministry.

Julia Dikidzhi

Para-Pro 2nd Grade/Reading

Miss Dikidzhi is a para-pro in second grade. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Moscow State University Institute of Asia and Africa Studies. In addition, she received certificates from Shenzhen Polytechnic University and her teacher’s certificate from Shenyang University.

 

Kathy West

Front Desk

Miss West works as the Front Desk receptionist. She assists with records and office duties.

She received her PhD in Theology from the International Bible Institute of Theology and brings a wealth of experience working with international education and cultures.

Debbie Porter

Pre-School

Mrs. Porter has been teaching preschool for nine years, and teaching at FCS for the past four. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Ohio State University. She and her husband have four daughters and they attend Browns Bridge Community Church.

Hannah Foster

US Bible/Lower & MS Computer

Miss Foster has a degree in Leadership and Church Ministry and has worked in a classroom six years as a lead teacher.  She has been involved in missions and has a true passion for evangelism and building a strong foundation in the Lord.  She teaches upper school Bible, resource Bible and LS Computer.

Olga Busmatrava

Pre-School

Ms. Busmatrava received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Grodno State University in Belarus. She has 17 years of experience teaching at the primary school level. This is her second year teaching the 2-year-old class at FCS.

Yuri Markov

LS Computer/ASP Bible

Mr. Markov is the lower school computer teacher as well as the Academic Skills Program Bible teacher. He has a Masters of Divinity degree in Theology from Church of God Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Technology from Kramatorsk College of Technology in Ukraine. He has been a pastor for over 15 years and he and his wife, Olga, have three children and are blessed to be part of educational ministry at FCS.

Bethany Karnowski

2nd Grade

Ms. Karnowski received her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Berry College and has her ESOL Endorsement in education. Her passion to change the lives of children shines through unique and creative methods to develop the needs of each student.

Vasily Lantukh

Board Chairman/Sr. Pastor at New Life Church

As CEO/Board Chairman of Friendship Christian School, Rev. Vasily Lantukh is a talented motivator and organizer. He holds a masters degree in agriscience and has a track record of successful leadership as a minister, entrepreneur, international businessman and family man.

His strong personal commitment to education has most recently displayed itself in his own six children. Three earned undergraduate degrees from Georgia Tech, the other three from Georgia State University. Three of his children have completed their masters level education and are greatly excelling in their fields of work and study. His youngest son graduated as the valedictorian of FCS in 2011.

Mr. Lantukh recently celebrated his 26th year as Pastor of New Life Christian Church. When he’s not at school or church, he enjoys gardening with his wife, Marya, and tackling a growing list of home improvement challenges.

He fully supports the Head of School to run the daily operations at FCS.

Rick Johnson

Head of School/Academic Skills Supervisor/Bible (HS)

Dr. Johnson holds a EduD in Christian Education from JTS and a PhD. in Psychology from Southern Seminary. He has a Master’s of Arts in Education in Administrative Instruction from Ottawa University. He holds three Certifications with ACSI: All Levels Superintendent, All Levels Principal and Secondary Bible. He has worked in Christian Education over 20 years.  He has served as Head of School for FCS the past 4 years.

He has served the ministry of Christian education as a Head of School, Dean, Chaplain, Coach, Athletic Director, Counselor, Resource Director, Mission Director, Lower School Teacher and Secondary Teacher. He was also the founder and administrator of Faith Christian Academy.

Dr. Johnson has worked with “Voice of Judah” music ministry for over 30 years and serves on their board. He has also worked for several accreditation teams with ACSI and SCISA. He co-founded Building Blocks Educational Ministries with his wife and ministers to teachers, churches, and organizations. As a missions director, Dr. Johnson has led missions teams to Belize, Colombia, Mexico and Israel. Dr. Johnson has been a strong supporter of an orphanage in Belize in Central America for several years.

Dr. Johnson and his wife have three children: a son who is 28 and two daughters who are 18 and 15. He also has a grand daughter that was born in March 2015 and a grand son born June 2017. Their daughters attend FCS.

Dr. Johnson has a great vision spiritually and academically for the ministry long-term.

Elizabeth Johnson

Upper School Principal / I-20 Director/Admissions

Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson works as the upper school supervisor, Admissions Director and I-20 Director. She holds a Master’s of Arts in Education with a major in Administrative Instruction and Curriculum from Ottawa University. She has a BA in Christian Education with a major in Theology from JTS, and a BA in Education with a major in English from SBIS.

Elizabeth Johnson has been in Christian education over 20 years. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant, Facility Director, Development Director, middle and high school English and Bible teacher. She has also served on a curriculum planning school building team.

She holds her certificate to direct the 1-20 program (SEVIS) for international students for FCS. She holds three standard certifications from ACSI: Secondary Principal, Secondary English, and Secondary Bible. She also holds a private pre-school teaching certification.

She is also the co-founder of Building Blocks Educational Ministries and has ministered to teachers, schools and churches.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband have three children: a son who is 28 and two daughters who are 18 and 15. She also has a grand daughter born in March 2015 and a grand son born in June 2017. Their daughters attend FCS.

Clayton Shaw

Lower School Principal and Athletic Director

Mr. Shaw is our lower school principal.

He received his degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College & State University and his Masters in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia. Mr. Shaw is state and ACSI certified, and is very strong in technology education at all levels.

Mr. Shaw also serves as the Athletic Director of FCS and has coached basketball, cross-country, and golf.

Before becoming principal, Mr. Shaw taught fourth grade for 10 years and has been at FCS since 2010.

Serge Kulinich

Facility Director

Mr. Kulinich is the facility leader for the entire campus. This non-academic department encourages excellence in the cleaning crew, technology, school store and scholarship department.

Becky Holmes

Pre-School Director

Mrs. Holmes is the Preschool Director for Friendship Christian School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Louisville and her master’s degree in Teaching from Spalding University. Mrs. Holmes has been an educator for over 20 years and has worked as both a preschool and elementary classroom teacher. She has a passion for early childhood education and has served as a preschool director for 12 years.

Becky has been a part of the team at FCS for eight years.

Nadia Wasson

Accounting Manager

Mrs. Wasson is the Accounting Manager with FCS and New Life Church.

Alla Rudishina

Finance Director-FCS

Mrs. Rudishina is the Finance Director for FCS. She has worked in finance for several years in a variety of areas. She has two children that attend FCS. She and her family are very active in New Life Church.

Olga Markova

Pre School

Mrs. Markova works as an aide in preschool and she is our aftercare teacher for grades K-5 from 3:30-6 p.m.

She has three children at FCS and her husband is a pastor at New Life Church.

Jay Jusino

8-12 Science/Staff Development/Curriculum

Mr. Jusino is the upper school Science teacher and Lab Director. He received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from Ferris University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology Education from Ferris University.

He has over 20 years experience in classroom instruction and has taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Introduction to Logic, Health, Environment Science, Origins in Science in Culture, Nutrition, Anatomy, Physiology and Business Math. He also has his ACSI Science Educator Certification.

He has taught “Education from a Biblical Worldview” from the Nehemiah Institute to staff and has nearly three years experience in Environment Field Work.

Mr. Jusino has seven children; he and his wife Christy are excited to be a part of the FCS family.

Joshua Osolnik

9-12 History

Mr. Osolnik is the upper school History teacher at FCS. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Emory University and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary History from Emory Laney Graduate School.

Joshua also led and implemented sports programs for elementary schools based on Overtime Athletics curriculum. He has taught at FCS for 4 years.

Alex Klinect

English 9th-12th/ESOL

Mrs. Klinect is our 9th-12th English teacher and she assists with our ESOL program after school. She received her Bachelor of Science in English Education from Toccoa Falls College with a minor in Biblical Studies. She is Georgia state certified in Secondary English 6th-12th with a Georgia state ESOL Endorsement. She is also certified through ACSI in Secondary English.

She has taught in three countries and has worked with students from over twenty countries, including teaching ESL classes for refugee students. She has experience administering language proficiency tests and has worked with developing students from six years old to adults. She also completed her student teaching in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Mrs. Klinect brings a passion for several areas in English and has a true heart for our global vision at FCS. She was married in June 2016 to our resource teacher Jeremiah Klinect.

Bunny Helms

First Grade

Mrs. Helms received her Bachelor of Science from Columbia International University. She also attended Cal. State Fullerton.

Mrs. Helms has taught in elementary education over 10 years.  She has worked as a pull-out teacher the last two years at FCS to help students improve in reading. She is strong in all core subjects and she is very creative in the classroom.

Valerie Thompson

4th Grade

Mrs. Thompson is in her second year of teaching fourth grade. She received two bachelor’s degrees: one in Elementary Education and one in Psychology from Liberty University. Mrs. Thompson is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching. She has two children ages 3 and 5 who attend FCS.

She is very active in her local church and has a strong passion for Christian education, not just as a teacher but also as a parent.

Lauren Hoeweler

Language 2/ESOL

Mrs. Hoeweler graduated from Columbia International University with her Masters in TEFL/Intercultural Studies. She received her bachelor’s degree from Toccoa Falls College in English with a minor in Cross Cultural Studies. She has her ACSI certification in education and teaches the advanced language class and an after-school ESOL class. When she’s not teaching, Lauren enjoys soccer and tennis.

Maureen Brown

Pre-School

Mrs. Brown received her Masters of Science in Education from Long Island University in New York. She has worked several years in schools in New York and Illinois, and is excited to join the staff at Friendship Christian School.

Mrs. Brown is married with three children and loves volunteering in her children’s schools, Girl Scouts of America, and her community. She also enjoys playing tennis in her free time.

Jan Brown

3rd Grade

Mrs. Brown is our third grade teacher at FCS. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University in Elementary Education and minored in Creative Arts.

She has been a homeschool teacher for years and also taught several years in the classroom. She has worked with curriculum and several academic leadership roles over the years as a teacher.

Kellie Kindberg

Librarian/Para-Pro

Mrs. Kindberg is a native of Atlanta and she attended Mercer College. She serves as our Librarian and teaches art to K4 through third grade. She has been a Sunday School teacher and a substitute teacher at FCS.

Mrs. Kindberg has four children, two of whom currently attend FCS. She also has three grandchildren.

Svetlana Bogdan

Russian Lower and Upper Instructor

Mrs. Bogdan is our Russian instructor and has experience at all levels in teaching language. She has her master’s degree in languages and is strong in both Russian and German. She teaches lower and upper school students and has great classroom management. Mrs. Bogdan has taught 3 years at FCS and she has two children at FCS.

Jeremiah Klinect

Academic Skills Program Director/Teacher

Mr. Klinect teaches in our Academic Skills Program 2 and 3. He is certified in Reading and directs the IEP and Academic Skills Program.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement from Toccoa Falls College. He is state certified through the 8th grade and has taught in the public school system. He has also completed the Orton Gillingham program.

He is active in his church and is the FCS cross country coach.

 

Jonathan Kilgore

Chaplain/Fine Arts Director/Family Living

Jonathan Kilgore is the FCS Chaplain and Fine Arts Director. He also directs the band and leads upper school chapel. He directs our School of Music, which coordinates after-school lessons with instructors. Mr. Kilgore also teaches Family Living.

He has been married for 21 years and has three children. His oldest daughter graduated from FCS in 2015 as valedictorian of her class.

Mr. Kilgore is a professional musician and has been in full-time music ministry for 13 years, traveling across the nation and globe. He has worked in education for 10 years. Through missions, he has traveled to several countries, including Mexico, Kenya and South Africa. He has a heart for young people and for developing musicians to use their gifts for the glory of God.

Jennifer Hollingshead

5th Grade

Mrs. Hollingshead has a master of arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Nyack College. She has taught for over 20 years and is state and ACSI certified.

Jennifer is very active in her church.  She and her husband serve as the College and Career leaders, and she has served in Sunday School, youth activities, and as the Vacation Bible School director.

Amy Bolinger

K4

Mrs. Bolinger is the K-4 teacher at FCS. She has a passion for teaching and a true love for children. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in early education from the Baptist College of America.

Debbie Kunin

6th-8th - English and Math

Mrs. Kunin teaches 6th-8th grade English and Math at FCS.

She is a graduate of Old Dominion University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.She left her career with IHG to pursue a master’s degree and fulfill a lifelong dream of teaching children. She received her Master of Arts in Elementary Education and committed to helping children achieve lifelong learning through creative, engaging and dynamic learning.

Debbie is certified in Georgia to teach Elementary Education (K-5) and is eligible to teach Middle School Grades (6-8). She has over 10 years experience in the classroom and her focus is on our middle school department.

She has been married to her husband Gary for over 20 years and they have three daughters: Jennifer (19), Megan (17), and Danielle (15). She enjoys photography and reading novels in her spare time.

Dusty Dobbs

MS History

Mr. Dobbs is our MS History teacher for 6th and 7th grades.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education at Wayland Baptist University and his Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary. He has over 20 years of experience in teaching and Resource. He is certified as an instructor with the state of Georgia. He has also tutored in writing and reading.

He is married with three children and is very active in his church. His daughter attends FCS.

Tatyana Lantukh

Academic Skills Program/US Math

Ms. Lantukh is the Academic Skills Program tutor at FCS. She will be working one on one with students with IEP’s throughout the school day.  She will also be teaching lower and upper level math as well.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Georgia State University.

Ms. Lantukh has a vision for educating with excellence.

Kristina Riddle

Pre-School

Mrs. Kristina Riddle works in the preschool department as an instructor.

Stacy Browning

Pre-School

Mrs. Browning is a preschool teacher at FCS.

She has worked with children for over 15 years, from being a nanny after graduating from high school to working at a private preschool. Throughout her years in Early Childhood Education, she has worked as a teacher, assistant director, and a director.

Stacey Nemitz

Pre-School

Mrs. Nemitz is a preschool teacher at FCS. She graduated from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education.

Prior to having children, she worked as the Assistant Director at Huntington Learning Center in Frederick, MD. Mrs. Nemitz has also taught Pre-K and Kindergarten in private childcare settings.

She is currently involved in the Children’s Ministry working with preschoolers at Christ Community Church in Cumming.

Pamela Rumer

Pre-School

Mrs. Rumer is a Pre-K teacher at FCS. Previously, she worked for Forsyth County in the Special Education department. She has taught Music for Mommy and Me, Creative Movement, and developed themed summer children’s camps for Duluth Parks and Recreation.

She received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree from William Smith College with a Certification in Elementary and Special Education.

Mrs. Rumer is married and has two daughters.

Cathy Sullivan

Pre-School

Mrs. Sullivan is a preschool teacher at FCS. She is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

She has been married to her husband Brian for 21 years. They have two children, Aidan (15) and Anna (14). She has been a regular volunteer in their elementary and middle schools throughout the years. She has also helped to organize children’s events in her neighborhood.

Cathy is in her second year of teaching religious education at her church. She has been the team manager for her daughter’s club travel soccer team for the past two years.

Lillian Carrasco

Spanish: Lower & Upper School

Mrs. Carrasco is our Spanish teacher for lower and upper school students at FCS. She has over 20 years experience in teaching Spanish and Education in both private and public schools. Mrs. Carrasco received her Bachelor of Arts in Language (ESOL) and Elementary Education from Florida International University. She has her state certification in Elementary Education, ESOL and Spanish.

She has volunteered in her church the last 4 years working with elementary and middle school students.

Jon Johnson

Computer/Guidance and ESOL Director

Mr. Johnson has worked in Christian Education as an IT Director and in Office Administration for six years. He manages all our online AP level college classes and is the Guidance Director for the high school. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He also has a Master of Arts in Sociology and International Affairs from Arizona State University. He is state certified in TESOL and directs the ESOL program at FCS.

Jon has been studying Mandarin Chinese for over 8 years. He has traveled across Asia multiple times since 2009. He and his wife lived in Beijing, China from April to December 2014. He returned to FCS in January 2015. His wife, Alice, is from Tangshan, China. They have a daughter who is two years old and a son born in June 2017.

Kate Crouse

Graphic Design/Yearbook/Art: Lower & Upper School

Mrs. Crouse teaches art for FCS. She is a professional artist and holds a bachelor’s degree in art design.

She brings a strong vision and excitement to the lower and upper school art programs. The art students had several first place awards at competition. She directs the art project for ACSI and she has introduced several new programs in the classroom. Under her guidance, FCS will start a new Graphic Design class in the fall of 2017.

She has taught at FCS 3 years and has a daughter and a son at FCS.

Tetyana Horoian

Language 1

Mrs. Horoian teaches Language One at FCS.  She is strong in phonics and has worked in the public school for two years. She is fluent in three languages and holds her Bachelor of Art degree in English with a minor in elementary education.

She enjoys crafts, music and reading.  She has a daughter and son who attend FCS.

 

Ashley Wadibia

K5 & ESOL

Ms. Wadibia teaches K5 and ESOL at FCS. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and her her master’s degree from Liberty University.

Ms. Wadibia has taught elementary grades in the public school system over 10 years.  She has been trained in several areas and is strong in reading with phonics and all core subjects. She was the teacher of the year in her county in Alabama.

She is very active in church leadership and community service.

John Park

HS Math/Math Chair

Mr. Park is the high school math chair and teacher at FCS. He received one master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and another master’s degree from Florida International University. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Math and minor in Language from Western Michigan. He is fluent in English, Korean and Japanese.

Mr. Park has directed many tutor companies that focus on developing math skills. He has worked with struggling students and helped them achieve high ACT and SAT scores. He can teach all math classes including college level classes at any level. He directs the math program for grades K-12 at FCS.

Lyddmila Shvets

ASP Science & 6th-8th - Science

Mrs. Shvets is teaching 6th – 8th grade Science and ASP Math. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Clayton University. She is focused on and passionate about building a strong middle school science program.

She has a daughter at FCS, attends New Life Church and is active in her church serving in ministry.
